Dyan,
I enjoyed our
visit on
Saturday
Feb. 14th.
I am very
excited about
the new puppy.
He will be eight
weeks old on the
19th
of this month,
so I was
planning on
coming over to
get him on
Saturday the 21st.
Let me know if
this is
acceptable. If
you get a chance
send me a couple
of pictures. I
have attached a
couple of
pictures of
Java. I
believe she gets
prettier every
day. Hope to
hear from you
soon.
Thanks,
Henry Day

Schafers
doing
great. He's
going to be
a really
really good
family dog.
I have
enclosed
some pix.
He is
unbelievably
wonderful
with
kids -
even
small
kids
that he
doesn't
know can
come up
and fall
all over
him and
he loves
it.
He is
also big
- still
not
quite 6
months
old.
The only
concern is
that he is
aggressive
towards
other dogs.
We are
working with
a trainer on
this and he
is getting
better. He
growls and
snarls when
he meets
them - but
if you let
him loose
with them
after a bit
he figures
out his
place in the
"pack
order". And
he is fine
with our
other dog
(and she is
even warming
up to him).

Hi Dyan,
It's been
awhile. I
just wanted
to let you
know that
Hessa fit in
beautifully
with our
family and
we love her
very much.
She is soooo
affectionate
and yet very
protective
too.
You've made
a GSD lover
outta us.
She is
healthy and
happy. Just
wanted to
let you know
she is doing
well and she
is indeed an
amazing
dog.
Thanks
again.Dave

Good Afternoon
Dyan,
I hope all is
well with
you. My name is
David Darling.
I purchased a
puppy (Schatzi)
from you in late
August, 2008. All
is well here;
Schatzi is a
sweet dog.
Raising a puppy
requires a lot
of effort, but
it is also quite
rewarding. She
has boundless
energy, and a
great
disposition.
She is also very
smart. Her
obedience
training is well
underway and she
is a star. The
picture is a
more than a
month old, but
it shows how
beautiful she
is. I would like
to know when we
can expect to
receive our
registration
paperwork for
Schatzi? David

Dear Dyan
Just to give you
an update on
Lainey. We
survived the
holidays and all
the visitors.
Everyone just
loved Lainey! She
is great with
people and is
very
well-behaved. I
am attaching a
photo of her
with my oldest
daughter.
Franklyn wants
to do more and
more with her
and is very
attached to
her. He now
watches the Dog
Whisperer
religiously and
is always
reminding me
about my
"energy". Good
Grief! We are
continuing with
obedience
training and
have started
agility training
as well. Lainey
is the smartest
in the class by
far!! I take
her everywhere I
can and she is a
great traveller.
We also now go
to the dog park
where she is a
great favorite
and has lots of
friends, both
human and dog.
She is having
most fun with a
boxer that is
the same age and
as Lainey and
with a big
poodle and an
Irish
wolfhound. It's
like they've
formed a play
group!
Finally I still
don't seem to
have received
Lainey's AKC
registration
papers. I'd
really really
appreciate it if
you would send
them right
away.
Thanks very much
Katherine

Dyan,
Good
to
chat
with
you
earlier.
As
discussed
I'll
plan
to
stop
by
around
5 or
so
this
afternoon.
In
addition,
here
are
some
pictures
of
Oskar
(born
Feb
2,
1999)
that
we
got
from
you
in
the
spring
of
1999.
In
addition,
here
is a
picture
of
Ellie,
formerly
named
Dillie,
that
we
got
from
you
in
May
1997.
She
lived
to
be 1
month
shy
of
13
years
old
and
passed
away
in
April
2007.
She
was
absolutely
THE
BEST
dog
ever.
We
still
love
her dearly
and
have
her
pictures
in
our
house.
Both
she
and
Oskar
have
made
us
better
people
and
been
big
parts
of
our
family!
See
you
soon.

Dyan,
Well we
survived our
first week
with her and
she is
adorable but
tiring. We
will send
you photos
as she
grows.
I do have a
a couple
questions
for you. I
noticed that
there is no
tattoo in
her ear
which I
remember
from my
previous
Shepherd was
a pretty
standard way
to identify
them, their
litters,
etc. Why
did you not
do this?
Also, since
we did not
go home with
any pedigree
papers,
should I
assume that
they will be
mailed to
me. I would
like to have
them for our
records.
Thanks Ted

Dyan:
I'm
not
sure
if
you
remember
me -
Joyce
Lugar
Pinner,
but
I
bought
a
puppy
from
you
in
1996
and
named
him
Luger.
We
were
in
search
and
rescue
together
for
many
years.
Well
the
sad
day
finally
came
and
I
lost
him
a
month
ago.
At
his
age,
I
knew
I
had
to
lose
him
sometime,
but
it
was
still
very
hard.
I
sent
out
an
e-mail
to
my
fellow
team
mates
and
got
a
wonderful
response
and
even
cards
from
as
far
away
as
Illinois.
When
a
trained
search
and
rescue
dog
dies,
a
e-mail
is
sent
out
that
begins...
"On
this
day
"Luger"
crossed
the
Rainbow
Bridge
and
it
is
followed
by
the
poem.
It's
really
hard
to
read,
but
it
is
beautiful. I
think
I
told
you
that
he
saved
me
from
a
carjacker
when
he
was
only
six
months
old.
(At
six
months
he
was
already
big
and
not
afraid
of
anything.)
I am
having
a plaque
is
made
through
the
vet's
office
to
honor
him.
All
the
people
who
worked
with
him
at
the
vet's
office
cried
as
hard
as I
did.
One
of
these
days
I'll
be
looking
for
another
GS
puppy
and
I'll
call
you.
Right
now
I'm
still
grieving.

I know you like
to keep tabs on
the pups. Here
are some pix of
Schafer
at not quite
9 months
old with our not
quite 5 year old
daughter.
He is a
wonderful dog -
very sweet and
very smart (and
getting pretty
big).
Still learning
things - like
walking nice on
a leash - but
doing great.

Dyan,
Here are some
pictures. As you
can see his left
ear is not
standing. He
just lost his
last 2 teeth
over the
weekend. From
what I have read
the ears have a
hard time until
they are done
teething but I'm
concerned. There
are a lot of
opinions on ear
taping on the
Internet. Some
state that a
pure breed GSD
shouldn't need
their ears taped
and that it
covers up or
fixes a genetic
fault and they
should not be
breed. Others
state it is
common to help
the ears stand
up.
I know it's
still early as
he is not yet 6
months and he is
a big boy.
Should I be
worried? I
didn't think I
would have to
deal with
anything like
this with his
pedigree.Let me
know what you
think.
Thanks,Don

Here is a
picture of
Kaia, female
from Cita/Irsus
litter
Nov.'07
She is a
little over
4 months
here.
I had to
write and
tell you
what a
completely
wonderful
puppy/dog
she has
been. First
of all,
everywhere I
go, people
stop me to
ask me where
I got her
from. I
proudly tell
them of you
and your
kennel in
Dallas.
Two of them
were police
officers and
couldn't get
over how
beautiful
she is. We
just had her
spayed, as I
have said
before "let
the
professionals
handle the
breeding"
even though
many have
said I
should have
bred her, I
just tell
them to go
and see you
!!!! I hope
they come to
see you!
Not sure if
you wanted
this but I
have her
tatoo number
for you. I
was
wondering if
we could
have her
pedigree
papers sent
to us.
We are so
pleased with
our
Kaia(pronounced
kaya) and we
are so proud
of her. She
has been
doing
obedience
and for fun
we go to the
park to play
with her
soft frisbee.
She loves to
play with
other dogs
and loves
children and
is very good
with them.
We are also
starting to
see her
protective
side now at
5 months, so
that is
great as
well.
So, we can't
say enough
about your
breeding
skills, and
I will
continue to
recommend
everyone
your way.
Take Care,
Sincerely,
Joyce and
Scott

FIX vom HAUS
MERKEL |
Hi Dyan,
I thought I'd
write to tell
you how much we
love Fix,
especially me.
His personality
has really come
out, what a
sweetheart. I
can tell how
much he loves
you, he has
focused on me
since he first
arrived. A true
companion to you
I can see.
Please know I
understand how
hard this must
have been for
you. Will be
good about
sending photo's
if you'd like.
Many thanks,
Wendy Dowds
Hi Dyan,
Wanted to send
you a photo of
Fix playing by
the pool with
the kids. He
has fit in just
perfectly with
our animals and
family, thank
you.
Wendy
Hi Dyan,
Have been
wanting to
e-mail you for
some time now.
We have had the
end of the
school year
craziness, but
now enjoying
summertime with
the kids. Fix
has learned a
new trick...he
is quite the
swimmer! We
were sitting at
the dinner table
tonight and
observed him
jumping into the
pool. He must
have lingered
for 10 minutes
or more, what a
cutie! My
husband has been
working with him
to get in and
cool off in the
afternoons, but
we haven't seen
him do it on his
own. He has
been such a
welcome addition
to our family,
thank you. Take
care,
Wendy
Good Morning
Dyan,
Wanted to let
you know that my
family just
adores Fix. He
is such a sweet
polite boy.
Fix's favorite
so far is our
Malamute,
Kenai.
More photos to
come,
Wendy

Hi Dyan,
I hope
all went well
with your
surgery. Get
better quick!
Sam is doing
great! I’ve been
working with him
on the simple
commands and
fetching
and finding and
he shows extreme
intelligence. He
is being very
protective and
leery of
strangers until
they have been
accepted by us.I’ll
have him in
training soon
and believe the
sky’s the limit.
He has become my
shadow and wants
to be where I am
all the time,
and he usually
is.
He’s
a wonderful part
of the family.Thanks,
Ray

Dyan,
ust thought
I would
share the
story of one
of your
pups. We
picked up
Bella from
you on
August 21,
1995. She
traveled
with us from
Texas to our
move to
California
in 2000.
She has been
the love of
our lives,
the best
companion a
person could
ask for.
She was the
happiest
when hiking
off leash in
the Sierra
Nevada
mountains -
she actually
climbed to
the top of
the peak at
Lake
Highlands
- roughly
10,000 feet
elevation.
She also
loved the
pine forests
a Gualala,
on the
California
coast, just
south of
Mendocino.
Bella was
probably
happiest
with us, at
our home in
the
foothills of
the Sierra's
- running
our 6
acres. She
loved
sitting at
surveying
her
kingdom.
She was a
very happy
dog, and we
were so
happy to
have her in
our lives.
Last year,
Bella was
diagnosed
with
degenerative
myelopathy.
We did
everything
we could for
her, even
had a
specialist
at the
university
of Florida
(Dr.
Clemmons)
run the
tests for
her diagnois.
We made her
food from
scratch rich
full of
antioxidants,
and put her
on a vitamin
regime
recommended
by Dr.
Clemmons.
We had her
on electro
accupunture,
treatments
on a
underwater
treadmill,
and even in
the last
couple
months had
her in a k9
wheel chair
when her
back legs
became
totally
paralyzed.
With the
treatments,
we were able
to more than
double the
timeframe
for the
progression
of the
disease and
love her
just that
much longer.
Today, we
had to put
Bella to
rest. She
could no
longer
support
herself on
any of her
legs, and
was having
trouble even
breathing.
I was
following up
on some
research,
and there is
some belief
this disease
can be
heriditary -
so I thought
I would let
you know in
case you
keep track
of any of
this for
your
breeding
program.
Bella was by
CH Clayfield
Jeremy and
CH Merkel's
Ricochet.
We were able
to love
Bella and
have her in
our lives
for 12 1/2
years. We
are just
heartbroken
to have her
leave us in
such a
debilitating
way and
would hope
to spare
anyone else
from seeing
their
beloved pet
go through
this.
Thanks so
much, and we
wish you
well. We
have
attached a
baby picture
of Bella as
well as some
more recent
ones.
Thank you,
Shari and
Tom Fulton

Dyan,
Just
wanted
to
touch

with
you.
Here
are
two

photos
of
my

with
Heidi
on
Christmas

My

all

she
was
so

with
emotion.
It
was
a
precious
thing...Heidi
went
back
to
the

today.
We
had
her
looked

was
available
on
Christmas
Eve.
He
attempted
to
fax
you
the

work
but
was
unable
to
get the

to
go

She
went
back
to

She
now
