A WONDERFUL CELEBRATION OF KEISHA’S LIFE

                                                                                             WE WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!

When I arrived here at my new home a few day ago I was overwhelmed with all the love and beauty that is here.  There are hills to climb and lakes to swim, and there is even a ball that throws itself when I want it to, and it will come back to me when I call.  There are more dogs here than I’ve ever seen before.  There are two special dogs here that I’ll tell you about later.

The aura that surrounds our Creator is both bright and beautiful.  I was really surprised when He asked me if I had any special request that He could give me.  I asked Him if he would allow me to tell my mom and dad how much fun I had being their “Princess”.  He told me that no other dog had ever made that request, and I said, “Well no other dog was loved as much as I was.”  He said I could, so here is my “Thank You” for my life you saved and the life you so willingly gave me.

I want dad to know how much I loved him too, but you and I became part of each other Heart & Soul.  When Baker and Greta came along, I was a little jealous, but I knew you and dad loved them, so I just told them who was in charge.  You will never know how much we loved our daily exercise and the sacrifices you made to make sure we got our walk.  The trips to the park, swimming in the lake, the special meals you made for us….nothing was too good or too expensive where your kids were concerned.

When I was named Purina “Great American Dog”, I was not surprised, because you told Purina how much you loved me and how much I loved you.  You and dad and I rode in a limousine, flew in a private jet, stayed in a suite in a historical hotel, I had my own sterling silver bowl of biscuits, we appeared on several national television shows (I guess you know I showed off a little bit for the cameras, but I wanted you to be proud of me).  Heck, I even kissed Bob Dole on the lips.  He never saw it coming! 

There were a few things I took care of before I left.  I told Baker and Greta that they need to behave themselves a little better when you take them for their walks.  I tried my best, but Baker sure can get rowdy at times.  They both love you and dad very much, and I told them to let you know that even more now that I’m gone. 

You remember I told you there were two special dogs here with me.  Please tell Nonnie that Schnapps is here with me and he says he’s the “Big Dog” here and nobody messes with him.  He promised me he would protect and watch over me until I could take charge.  Schnapps was my good friend and I’m glad to back together with him again.  The other dog is some bitch named Margo, who claims to have jumped through windows and saved your life on many occasions.  Wait until I tell her about Washington and everything you did for me.  Schnapps told me that she’s probably lying. 

Thank you Melissa for not letting me suffer.  Please know that I am happy where I am, and I hope I gave back to you, at least part of the joy and love you gave to me.                          I’ll always love you, KEISHA LEA
